The Lake Trash™ concept originated the summer of 1988 while anchored in "Cocktail Cove" on Geist Reservoir in Indianapolis. A group of people (including our founder and CEO) decided to take their jet-skis out for a spin. After a bit of "hot doggin" and a few of their own faces, they noticed a woman on her boat who seemed a bit imitated and decided to give them a piece of her mind. "You boys are trash. Nothing, but Lake Trash™," she yelled. Thus became our name: Lake Trash™. Finally, we had a name for the groups of fun loving, water-enthusiasts! Over the years and many social events later, this group of friends and boaters has become known as "Lake Trash™."

Up & Riding was started in Hawaii, the surf capital of the world, by people not unlike many of our customers.     We grew up in Hawaii, surfing, skating and wearing clothes from companies like Quiksilver and Billabong.   Now that we are “all grown up” with small kids of our own, we enjoy seeing them styled out in the same type of clothing that we continue to enjoy wearing and the lifestyle that it conveys.
